I love tango music, it’s part of our cultural DNA here in Brussels, Belgica. My main focus is to play for the dancers enjoyment. I compare DJing to wine tasting. You should evolve from simple easy aromas evolving to complex profound tastes. And once in a while recreating a cycle by neutralising the palate – Francesco Canaro and Tipica Victor are great candidates for this.
Old Burgundy could be matched with 1960s Troilo Rufino, while quality Bordeaux is naturally d’Arienzo, with all the declination of singers through the years, you can match each “terroir”.
